Membership

Membership in the club is very reasonable and costs only $15 per year (September 1 to August 31) Annual dues are payable no later than the September meeting. We are always looking for new members, especially from the Tri-Cities area of the BC lower mainland.

NOTE - IF YOU WISH TO ACCESS THE MEMBERS AREA YOU WILL HAVE TO BECOME A PAID-UP MEMBER OF THE CLUB. ONCE APPROVED, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED AND THEN YOU CAN LOG-IN USING YOUR EMAIL AND YOUR OWN PASSWORD.

CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO JOIN THE MEMBERS AREA AND FORUM.

Here are some of the many benefits of membership:

  • Trading ("swap and shop") every meeting. Members typically bring duplicates and extras to sell or trade to other collectors at live meetings. Our Zoom meetings only have auctions and no "swap and shop" although discussions may lead to individual exchanges.

  • Stamp valuations. Do you have stamps or a collection and are wondering about their value? Just bring them to one of our meetings during the 6:30 to 7:15 pm time period and we will arrange an experienced collector to look at them and give opinions on value. If you have a collection and are not a member, the best way to start the processs is to email one of our Executive members whose email addresses can be found under the Contact drop-down menu.

  • Knowledge exchange. Some of our members have been collecting for years and are always interested in sharing their insights into the hobby.

  • Recent Scott Stamp Catalog Volumes, Canada Unitrade, Stanley Gibbons, and other useful stamp literature is available for members to view during live meetings and to sign out between meetings.

  • A watermark detector is also available to any member who wants it. Contact Wolfgang at paperdrive@gmail.com to borrow it.

  • If trading is not for you try our stamp auctions. As a member, you can auction your stamps to other collectors. Please note that while any collector from anywhere can join the club and participate in online auctions, if you do not live in the Tri-Cities area and win an online auction item, you will have to make your own arrangements for pickup of the item. Otherwise, we will help to arrange pickup/delivery.

  • Social interaction with fellow collectors ranging from novice to sophisticated collector.

  • Regular 50/50 draws to help the club.

  • Information on upcoming local shows and exhibitions.

Visitors are welcome at any time. We especially encourage families and young collectors to attend. We love to pass along our enthusiasm for this wonderful hobby that has existed for over 170 years and is still going strong!
